NYC Trip Recap
Hello & happy Monday!!!
I was in NYC at the end of last month and not only got to wander all day long, walking from town to town stuffing my face with TONS of yummy food - but also got to explore some of my all time favorite brands and vendors I source from online constantly. I’m excited to share a little slice of my NYC trip with you as I had a full day dedicated to checking out interior-related spaces and brands.
The Citizenry: Holy. Cow. This place was like walking into a cozy space of my dreams, with an abyss of woven neutrals, textures, and muted hues you can’t help but be drawn to. Not only is everything in this space beautiful, but all pieces are made in collaboration with the countries they travel to, curated with local artisans, and ethically made. Need I say more?
Allied Maker: I’ve had the pleasure of purchasing some lighting from this company and the quality, attention to detail, and materials used for these fixtures are unreal. From brass, glass, to hardwood they offer a wide range of high-end yet such simple fixtures that blend into so many types of spaces. Safe to say I’m in love.
BDDW: I actually came across BDDW one night years ago on another NY trip, walking by after dinner and thinking this was an art exhibit, possibly a museum. LOL! I think that tells you something about this space. The craftsmanship that goes into each piece screams luxury, and are piece I imagine to be passed down from generation to generation. The day I have the Deck Chair in my home is the day I can die happy :) KIDDING (but not really)
Thomas Hayes Studio: This little showroom was such a treat to visit. I’ve been eyeing pieces from Thomas Hayes Studio for quite some time and it was so nice to see these pieces in person. Their wood and metal finishes are the best of the best in my opinion - and as Thomas Hayes puts on his website, “furniture is just sexy.” It sure is at this place.
I’m rounding up my favorite pieces from each of these companies and makers below I had the pleasure of checking out - enjoy!
